“Hats from Yesterday and Today” is the program for the Kendall County Association for Home and Community Education’s 19th annual Victorian Tea on Sunday, Oct. 22. The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Cross Lutheran Church on Route 47 in Yorkville.

It includes three courses of tea and the program, which will be presented between the servings. HCE members Marilyn Zoener and June Saidat from Minooka will present the program on hats. Zoener has been collecting hats for years. She has between 175 and 200 hats, some that go back to the 1920s. Attendees are encouraged to wear hats to the tea, and are reminded to bring a favorite tea cup, as the church no longer has ceramic cups.

Reservations are now being taken. To RSVP, call Beverly Scott at 630-554-1530. Tickets for adults are $15, and tickets for children 12 and younger are $8. This fundraiser is used to support educational programs and outreach at Extension and 4-H in Kendall County.
